At present, the total area of tea gardens in China has reached nearly 40 million acres. With the improvement of modern people's living standards, the annual rate of increase is nearly 10%, the growth rate of tea consumption is accelerating, the area of tea gardens is steadily expanding, the total tea production has reached a new high, and the tea industry is gradually growing, which has attracted widespread attention from the whole society. There are widespread problems such as automation in tea technology application and low proportion of standardized tea gardens, outdated mechanical equipment, and extensive tea garden management. At the same time, with the transfer of a large number of labor, tea production faces weak links in planting and management, with low efficiency and high cost of manual operations. In order to mechanize tea production, Jiangsu Yunma Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and the Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture jointly developed the fully automatic riding tea picking machine, which was successfully tested in the Jiangsu Tea Expo Park. The 4CJ-20 passenger self-propelled fully automatic tea picking machine developed this time adopts a reciprocating cutting curved surface picker, which is suitable for the tea tree canopy. The picking height is adjustable, the picking width is about 1.2 meters, and the blades are double acting. During the operation, the tea tree tooth tips are cut off by reciprocating cutting blades, and the picked leaves are fed into leaf collection bags by leaf collection devices such as fans. The efficiency of the machine hour operation is 3-8 mu/hour. This machine has successfully solved the problems of carrying people to lift the tea picking machine, high labor intensity, and high labor consumption. The on-site demonstration received unanimous praise from experts, leaders, and users: the machine has a high degree of automation, stable performance, and good operating results.It can save a lot of labor, laying a solid foundation for the mechanized production of tea.
